L. PAPIUS, (c.79 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.90 grams), obv. Juno Sospita head to right, wearing goat's skin, helmet and sword behind, rev. Gryphon prancing to right, goose below, L PAPI in exergue, (S.311, Cr.384/1, Syd.773, B.Papia 1). Serrated, good very fine/very fine and very scarce.
