SASSANIAN KING, Vahran II (274-293), silver drachm, (3.480 grams), obv. jugate busts of Vahran and consort, the queen's head topped with horse head, prince on right to left, rev. fire altar, (Sellwood type IV, 23, Gobl 68, Pl.4, M.847-8). Toned, nearly very fine, and rare.
