SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochos VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.914 grams, Phoenician standard), Tyre mint, issued year 177 = 136-5 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos VII to right within dotted border, rev. eagle standing to left with leg of galley, palm branch in background in field to left a club with Tyre monogram above A/PE, to right **AS/IOR* around **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU*, **S* between legs of the eagle, (S.7094, SNG Spaer 2024-6, NN&M 73 Newell 122). Light corrosion and hoard patina at lowerr edge, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
