THRACE, (Moesia Inferior), Nicopolis ad Istrum, Macrinus, (A.D. 217-218), AE 28, (14.176 grams), obv. laureate cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right, around AV K O**PPEL* CEVH [MAKPEINOC AV], rev. Emperor in quadriga to right, Athena before, above amphora, trophy and captives, around V**P AGRIPPA NIK[OPOL*, in exergue **ITWN PRO*C/ICTP**W*, (S.-, Pick 1713 [p.440, Pl.XIX,26], Rev. Num., 1892 No.55 [p.74, Pl.I, 12]). Even brown tone, weak in places, fine/nearly very fine and rare.
