THRACE-MACEDON UNDER MITHRADATES VI OF PONTUS, in name of Alexander III, (125-65 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.625 grams), Odessus mint, posthumous issue struck 100-72 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **DH* in left field, under throne **HDO monogram, to right **[B]ASILEWS, to left **[A]LEXANDROU, (cf.S.6713, Price 1180, BMC 1180, Pick 2150, Muller 423). Extremely fine, rare.
