ITALY, Bruttium, Kaulonia, (450-380 B.C.), silver stater (7.582 grams), obv. Apollo with laureate head walking to right, holding laurel branch in right hand, stag standing to right before, rev. stag standing right, around **KAULONI ATAM*, (cf.S.463, cf.Noe (NS No.9) 162-4 [new obverse die, same reverse die, SNG Fitz. 730 [same reverse die], McClean 1614 [same reverse die]). Attractive grey patination, nearly very fine, weak in places, rare.
