FAUSTINA SENIOR, wife of Antoninus Pius, (died 141 A.D.), AE sestertius, Rome Mint, (24.09 g), issued after AD 141, obv. DIVA FAVSTINA, draped bust of Faustina I to right, hair elaborately waved and piled in bun on top of head, rev. AVGVSTA around, Ceres standing left holding two torches, S C across field, (S.4615, RIC 1120). Attractive dark green patination, very fine or better, scarce.
