TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), silver denarius, issued 99, Rome Mint, (3.11 g), obv. laureate bust draped to right of Trajan, around IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TRP COS VI PP, rev. Trajan on horseback left carrying spear, around SPQR OPTIMO PR[INCIP]I, (cf.S.3143, RIC 10, RSC 213). Toned, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
