PHOENICIA, Tyre, uncertain king, (c.425-394 B.C.), silver shekel (13.56 g), obv. Melkart, holding bow in extended left hand and reins in right, riding hippocamp right, below, waves above dolphin right, rev. owl standing right, head facing, crook and flail diagonally in background, (S.5912, E&E-T Group II.1.1.1.a, 288, Betlyon 17, Rouvier 1788, HGC 10, 315, BMC 19-22). Toned, edge cut, some porosity, very fine and very rare.
