CHINA, Empire, Shen-Si Province, replica pattern (1898) five, ten, twenty, fifty cents and one dollar (KM.Pn1-Pn5), note says beware of forgeries. Dark blue and grey or gun metal tone, nearly uncirculated. (5)

Purchased at a Singapore Coin Dealers Fair some years ago for $12,000, sold in a Chinese holder LYGY. The original dies were produced at the Heaton Mint, Birmingham, sold with translation of the label.
