TRENCH ART, ashtray featuring a map of Australia cast in brass, mounted at the Darwin end on a straight metal rod is a large brass Spitfire (note rod needs to be refitted at both ends); another ashtray featuring a map of Australia cast in white metal, mounted at the Darwin end on a curved silvered bronze metal rod is a silvered bronze Spitfire, no propeller. The first item needs refitting of the rod otherwise very fine; the second item with oxidation and some loss of silvering, otherwise very good. (2)
