JULIA SOAEMIAS, mother of Elagabalus, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (2.67 g), obv. draped bust of Julia Soaemias to right, around IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG, rev. VENVS CAELESTIS Venus seated left, holding apple and sceptre, child at feet, (S.7720, RIC 243, RSC 14). Toning, good very fine.
