Roy James Tynan, born 06May1908 at Boulder City, WA; Volunteered for service with RANVR (P.A/V.137 Home Port of Port Adelaide) and mobilized 31Mar1943 as Able Seaman for Shore Service and posted to HMAS Cerberus; various other postings including HMAS Torrens, Melville, and Penguin as well as P.W.S.S. (Port War Signal Station on Moreton Bay), and Adelaide River; demobilized 05Jan1946 as Able Seaman ex HMAS Torrens.
