GROUP OF FIVE: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. The first two medals unnamed, S.V. 53. T.A.Bradford. on last three medals. The named medals impressed. Toned extremely fine.

Together with a cast silvered bronze medal (57mm), features head of King George VI left with legend, 'For God King And Country', reverse laurel leaves and left with a scroll at base, the reverse inscribed, 'World War/1939-45./from/The Citizens/Of Bredbo' and in the scroll, 'SV/53/Tel. T.A.Bradford'; also case for this medal and boxes for the other medals; Returned From Active Service badge (KC) (A.I.F), reverse numbered 42656.
Terence Aubrey Bradford, born 01Apr1910 at Goulburn, NSW; volunteer papers show his next-of-kin as his mother at Bredbo, NSW; mobilized for service with RANVR 06Mar1941 (Service No. S/V53) at the rank of Telegraphist and allocated to HMAS Rushcutter; served on various postings as Telegraphist including service in the Pacific; Demobilized 14May1946.
