IRELAND, Hiberno-Norse issue penny, Phase IV, c.1060-1065, obv. crude helmeted facing bust with triple-strand moustache, letters around, rev. rev. long cross type similar to that of Aethelred II, with crude hand and cross in angles, two and three pellets in other angles, (S.6136, SCBI BM 150 and 156, [similar dies], cf.Spink 'Viking' Sale March 14, 2001 lot 1133). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.
