NEW ZEALAND WAR MEDAL - UNDATED. 2297 Sergeant John Cannon 40tth Regiment. Impressed. '1848' also impressed on rim. Slight surface scratches and edge bruises, nearly very fine. Extremely rare.
Sergeant John Cannon was present at Eureka Stockade on 3 December 1854. Together with extensive research and correspondence from the Queens Lancashire Regiment Headquarters regarding the recipient and his service at Ballarat; copy of the 40tth Regiment Eureka Stockade nominal roll; extract from 'Sabretache' and extract from 'Victoria' (1856).
