RUSSIA, U.S.S.R., pattern fifty kopecks, 1924, in silver by G.Kruger Gray and struck at the Royal Mint London, plain edge. Also a proof of the Leningrad Mint currency issue with plian edge and a currency issue with the usual lettered edge. Toned uncirculated and extremely rare.(3)

Ex Dr Maurice Laserson, a member of the U.S.S.R.'s Trade Delegation in Great Britain, and given by him to his neice, the late Mrs Hirschhorn of Sydney. Sold with correspondence from Andre de Clermont of Spink & Son Ltd in 1976. These coins were not sold at the time however a pattern Belgium one frank of 1918 was per Spink Australia (see Sale 43, lot 2410). Lot sold with a large photo portrait, Cairo 1937 and a pencil portrait 1953 (framed).
