SILVER JUBILEE MEDAL 1977. Unnamed as issued.; also miniature of The Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal 1952-2002, in Royal Mint box for full-size medal and this box printed on the base, 532270 Maj A M Smith. The first also in Royal Mint box of issue, both toned extremely fine - uncirculated. (2)

On 31 August 2010 The London Gazette Supplement No.1, page 16756 recorded under The Parachute Regiment, Regular Army, Regular Commissions that Lieutenant Colonel A.M.Smith 532270 retires on retired pay 30 August 2010 and is appointed to Reserve of Officers. His service with the Paras goes back to at least 1993 when he was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain.
