VALENTINIAN II, (A.D. 375-392), silver siliqua, Treveri mint, issued A.D. c.375-378 (2.09 gm), obv. pearl-diademed head of Valentinian II to right, around DN VALENTINI ANVS AVG, rev. VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma seated facing head left, holding Victory on globe and spear, TRPS in exergue, (S.4157, RIC 94a, RSC 61) (illustrated); Arcadius, (A.D. 383-408), silver siliqua, Trier Mint(?) issued 392-395, obv. traces D N ARCADI VS P F AVG, pearled diademed draped and cuirassed bust to right, rev. traces VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma seated to left with Victory and spear, [TRPS]? in exergue, (S.20761, RIC 106b). Both heavily clipped, otherwise very fine and scarce. (2)
