MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), AE as, Rome mint, issued 177, (11.18 g), obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M ANTONINUS AVG GERM [SARM] TR P XXXI, rev. around IMP VIII COS III P P PAX AETERNA AVG, Pax standing left holding cornucopiae and setting fire to a pile of arms, S C across, (S.5066, RIC 1204, C.365). Toned, flaw on edge of obverse, otherwise very fine and scarce.
