MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued 164, (12.38 g), obv. radiate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M AVREL ANTONINUS AVG P M, rev. around TR P X[VIII] IMP II COS III, Minerva standing left holding olive branch, spear and shield, S C across, (S.-, RIC 873, C.843). Toned, dark green patination, short on flan, portrait nearly extremely fine, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
