WORLD WAR I, POW remembrance (German Internees), 1914-16, medal in silver (24mm) (C.1914-16/1), by H.P., obverse 'Zum/Andenken/An Meine/Kriegsgefangen/Schaft', and, within a map of Australia 'Australien', on reverse '1914-16' (with a punch mark on 6 making it a 5, possibly in attempt to fit a brooch pin), ring top suspension. Very good - fine and rare.

Obverse translation, 'In memory of my wartime captivity in Australia'.
