MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, (3.80 g), Rome mint, obv. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Maximinus, around IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Fides standing facing head to left, holding two standards, around FIDES MILITVM, (cf.S.8307, RIC 7A, RSC 7, BMC 1). Lightly toned, with broad flan, extremely fine.

Ex Hans Ferdinand Collection, previously from Dr Busso Peus in 1980.
