OCTAVIAN AND JULIUS CAESAR, (assassinated 44 B.C.), AE sestertius or dupondius, South Italy mint (possibly Puteoli), struck 38 B.C., (20.47 g), obv. head of Octavian to right, around CAES[AR] DIVI.F, rev. wreathed head of Julius Caesar to right, around [DIVOS] IVLIVS, (S.1569, RPC 620, Cr.535/1, CRI 308, Syd. 1335, BMC 106, RBW 1822). Toned, fine and rare.
