WEAVELL, John., Hobart Town, currency note one shilling (Payable in Dollars at 5s each) August 13 1823 (year 1823 printed) No.AKO, hand signed by John Weavell (type 1). Extremely rare first type with signature in full (John Weavell) all other types are signed Weavell. Different layout to the wording and print design, also 'Payable in Dollars at 5s each'. Folds, creases, tears and stains, note is with new backing, otherwise very good.
