SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria, Antioch ad Orontem, (Antioch), Philip II as Augustus (A.D. 247-249), AE 8 Assaria, (15.37 g), obv. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip right, around AVTOK K M IOVLI **FILIPPOC* CEB, rev. turreted, veiled and draped bust of Tyche right, ram leaping right above, star below, around ANTIOXE**W*N METPO KO**LW*N, **D*-E S-C in field, (S.4147, McAlee 1073) (illustrated); another of Philip II as Caesar, (A.D. 244-247), similar with bare head bust right, (cf.S.4147, McAlee 1069); another of Philip I with radiate bust right, (cf.S.3959, McAlee 990). Toned, fine - very fine. (3)
