LEMPIERE & COMPANY, Hobart Town Van Diemen's Land, currency note four Spanish dollars, 25th July 1823 (182 printed) No.U 43, hand signed by Thomas James Lempriere, entered by C.Bouchin, on printed form red-brown on white, unwatermarked paper, imprint Engraved by S.Clayton Sydney, 'Exhibited / ET / Ross written across. Tears and frayed at edges, piece missing top right hand corner, otherwise fine and rare.
