SYRIA, kingdom of, Philip Philadelphos, (93-83 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, posthumous issue c.69-57 B.C., (14.55 g), Antioch mint, obv. head of Philip to right, with diademed, fillet border, rev. Zeus seated to left, on throne holding Nike, legends left and right **[B]ASILE[WS] FILIPPOU EPIFANOUS [F]ILADELF[OU]*, monogram below throne, **P* in exergue. (S.7196, SC 2463.3h, SMA 437, SNG Israel I (Spaer) 2799, HGC 9, 1319). Short on flan, otherwise toned, fine.
