BOIOTIA, Boiotian League, Federal Coinage, probably struck at Thebes, (395-340 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.53 g), obv. Boeotian shield, rev. amphora with letter BO I on either side, above a club, ivy leaf to right, all within an incuse square, (cf.S.2396, BCD Triton IX, 25 Head 'Boeotia' p.54, cf.Dewing 1509, SNG Cop. 173). Fine - very fine and scarce.
