BRITISH WAR MEDAL 1914-18. L.A.Darcey Australia 2221. Impressed.; also Australian Senior Cadet Competitions, Battalion Champion Team embroidered badge, type 3 issue, with backing intact. The first item with suspension removed and pin-back fitted for wear as brooch, fine; the second extremely fine. (2)

Leo Augustus Darcey, born at Launceston, Tas in 1875; the above medal and Mercantile Marine Medal issued to recipient at Flagstaff Hotel, Princes H'way, Sydney in 1922; Leo Augustus Darcey of Crows Nest, Sydney, NSW died in October 1946 and his funeral service was held at the Catholic Cemetery at Rookwood on 08Oct1946.
