QUEEN'S SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL 1899, (type 3 reverse), - five clasps - Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902, with pin-back suspender. 518 Pte A.W.Walker. Queensland I.B. Impressed. Toned, small edge bump, some contact marks, otherwise very fine.

518 Pte Alfred William Walker 5th Queensland Imperial Bushmen confirmed on nominal roll.

Together with a typed 2 1/ 2 page extract from a letter 'From the Front' dated 6 October 1901 from a Toowoomba boy, A.W.Walker, to his brother, J.M.Walker, detailing some of his combat experiences.
