INDIA, Islamic Sultanate, Bijapur, Muhammad Adil Shah, (A.H.1037-1068, A.D.1627-1656, gold pagoda, (3.41 g), NM, ND, obv. Persian couplet divided between the two sides with finely engraved calligraphy, always without mint and date, (G&G 'Coins of the Indian Sultanates' BJ20 [RR]). Very fine and very rare.
