INDIA, Islamic Sultanates, Bahmanis of the Deccan, Ala al-Din Ahmad Shah II, (A.H.838-862, A.D.1435-1457), gold tanka (11.14 g), Hadrat Muhammadabad mint, dated AH 858 (1455/6 AD), obv. "al-sultan al-qawi al-islam jami' al'fadl wa'l 'adl wa'l ihsan", rev. "abu'l muzaffar 'ala' al-dunya wa'l din ahmad shah bin ahmad shah al-sultan", all within square, 858 (date) in exergue, (G&G, 'Coins of the Indian Sultanates' BH81). Good very fine and rare with clear AH date.
