Napoli (Naples) mint, Gian Carlo Tramontano, mint master, struck 1488-1494, obv. FERANDVS ARAGON REX SI HISRV, crowned and armored bust right; I to left; annulet and double annulet stops, rev. IVSTA TV ENDA, Archangel Michael right, spearing dragon to lower right; banner on spear end, (CNI XIX 485, cf.Pannuti-Riccio 18b [for type], MIR 70/2, MEC 14, 1001). A few weak areas of legend, toned, very fine, rare.
