ITALY, Kingdom of Naples, Roberto, il Saggio (Robert of Anjou) (The Wise) King of "Sicily", (1309-1343), silver gigliato 26mm (3.83 g), Naples mint, obv. + ROBERT DEI GRA IERL ET SICIL REX, king seated facing on leonine throne, holding transverse lis-tipped sceptre and globus cruciger, rev. +hONOR REGIS IuDICIu DILIGIT around, ornate cross fleuree, lis in each quarter, (CNI XIX 46; Pannuti 2; MEC 14, 713). Nearly extremely fine, light golden tone in devices.
