ITALY, Sicily (as a kingdom), Philip III of Spain, (1598-1621), silver 3 Tari, 25mm, (7.91 g), Messina mint, dated 1609 DC (Decio Cirino, mintmaster), obv. crowned bust left. wearing ruff (ornate collar), three pellets below, around PHILI III D G, rev. cross fleuree, crown at each end, REX SICILIE 1609, (Spahr 46/43). Toned, very fine and rare.
