ITALY, Apulia (duchi), Ruggero Borsa, (1085-1111), AE follis, 20mm, (2.50 g), Salerno mint (Campania), obv. crowned bust facing, holding sceptre, [stars flanking], rev. ROG[E]/RI[VS]/DV[X] in three lines; trace of star above, (Bellizia 80, CNI XVIII 319, Travaini 87, MEC 14, 111, see Vecchi, Auction I, Feb 1-2, 1996 [lot 1267]); William Duke of Apulia, (1111-1127), AE fraction, obv. bust of Christ facing, rev. cross with letters V-V D-X in corners, (Bellizia 105, Cappelli 88, Vecchi I, [lot 1283-4]). First coin nearly fine, dark brown patina, second with green patina both with rough surfaces, rare. (2)
