INTERCOLONIAL EXHIBITION, Victoria, 1866, award medal in gilded bronze (38mm), by T.Stokes, obverse, personification of Victoria standing and facing left while holding a palm in her left hand and receiving her six sisters who each bring a gift, this being the same design as the 1866-67 issue for the exhibition, and is possibly a pattern for that issue as the exhibition started in 1866 but continued into 1867, reverse features a wreath of fruits and produce, unnamed. Edge nicks and surface marks, otherwise very fine and rare.
