CONSTANS II, (A.D. 641-668), gold solidus, Constantinople Mint, issued 641-646/7, (4.46 g), 8th officina, obv. bust facing of Constans beardless, wearing chlamys and crown, around dN CONStAN TINUS PP AV, rev. cross potent on base and three steps, below CONOBK, around VICTORIA AVGU, (S.937, DOC 2, MIB 4). Extremely fine with mint bloom, very scarce.
