Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius (3.48g), Rome mint, issued 203 AD, obv. laureate bust facing right, SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. Fortuna seated left, holding rudder and cornucopiae, wheel under seat, FORTVNA REDVX around (S.6279; RIC IV 264a; RSC 181). Lightly toned with underlying lustre, extremely fine.
