ANCIENT BRITISH, Uncertain but similar to Verica first coinage, (late 1st century B.C. - early 1st century A.D.), base quarter gold stater, (2.040 grams), obv. abstract head of Apollo to left, rev. trace of legend, (S.-; cf.Van Arsdell 473). Off centred on the reverse, very fine and rare.
