TASMANIAN RANGERS PRESENTATION CAKE TRAY, a silvered tray (approx 25.5cm wide), with decorative scalloped edge, three wide and curved legs, reverse stamped for maker, 'Walker & Hall, Sheffield, England' and number 53641A, centre of the tray inscribed with a foliage pattern and in the centre of this is the Tasmanian Rangers lion with scroll below with their name, this is above a dedication, 'Captain & Mrs. W.K.Findlay./From The Officers. N.C.O.'s. & Men/Of The Regiment/29-9-09.'. Surface scratches, otherwise very fine.
The Tasmanian Rangers made this presentation for the wedding of Captain W.K.Findlay, manager of the National Australia Bank, Zeehan Branch, to Miss S.M. 'Dolly' Fisher, daughter of Warden of Zeehan, Captain Fisher. The marriage was held at the bride's parents' home at Riccarton.
