WORLD BADGES, includes Australia, AWAS shoulder title in blackened bronze; Great Britain, hat badges for Royal Rifle Corps (KC), Royal Sussex Regt (no lugs), Royal Army Ordnance Corps (missing crown and lugs), Warrant Officer's King's crown; New Zealand, Onward badge (O.4/230) (no lugs), 5th (Wellington) Rifles Regiment 1st Battalion collar badge (O.6/56), B Coy 20th (Reinforcements) sweetheart badge (KC) in silver, pin-back but missing pin; South Africa, Tank Corps (S.A.T.C) collar badge (casting), and 1st SA Infantry Regt (casting); USA, US Navy Petty Officer cap badge, pin-back; also Australian WWI dog tag in aluminium, some details removed and then privately inscribed, '3/4085/Pte Winsor A./13th Batt./Cong.' Good - very fine. (12)

3/4085 Pte Arthur Winsor, 13 Battalion, recommended for Military Medal when as a battalion runner, during the attack on Stork Trench east of Gueudecourt on night of 4/5th February 1917, his coolness and daring were an example and an inspiration to all who saw him.

He did not receive the award but his younger brother, 1669 Bertie Winsor, also in the 13 Battalion, was awarded the Military Medal about 12 May 1918, later gazetted on 26 August 1918.
