Joseph Arthur Gorton, farmer, age 22, born at Casino, NSW; Enl.23Oct1916 at Lismore, NSW, in 26Bn, with 4 years militia service with 4LHR; Emb.14Jun1917; WIA 12Jun1918 and remained on duty, at Battle of Morlancourt in France; WIA 08Aug1918, GSW right shoulder and left knee, severe, at Battle of Hamel in France; RTA 13Dec1918; Disch.23May1919 Medically Unfit; Died 16Sep1962 at Casino, NSW.
