AUSTRALIA, George VI, lead pull of unofficial pattern Australia Edward VIII florin dated 1937, this is the first striking to test the die (unique), rev. the design is similar to the adopted design of George VI featuring additional E VIII R above the shield FID DEF IND IMP appears above the shield to right and left and the date 1937 and AUSTRALIA below. The groundline beneath the emu and kangaroo is different from the adopted design; the design is by Donald R. Golder. Uncirculated.
