THESSALY, Pharsalos, silver triobol, 440-425 B.C., (2.95 g), obv. Athena head to right in close fitting helmet, rev. horse's head to right in incuse square, **F AR* downwards on right of horse, (cf.S.2187, Lavva 32, cf.BCD Thessaly II 664.1 (similar dies), HGC 4, 630 SNG Ash.3913). Banker's stamp on obverse, otherwise fine/ nearly very fine, scarce.
