ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.480 B.C.), silver stater, (6.44 g), obv. six grain ear of corn, META upwards and some letters upside down on right, rev. six grain ear of corn, incuse, (cf.S.238, Noe 236, BMC 22. SNG Cop.1171, SNG Lockett 371). Very fine, of light weight, rare.
