FRANCE, Lebel Pattern M1886/93/16 cruciform bayonet in steel (blade 34cm), marked on one side, 'C & P', with brass grip and chequered press-catch, bottom edge of steel guard stamped, '373017', with black steel scabbard also stamped, '373017', with incuse letter 'R' on guard and some other markings around the top of the scabbard. Very fine.
