MID: LG 28/11/1947, p5636; CAG 4/12/1947 p3539 - to Lieut. G.T.E.Richards (VX3948) in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Greece and Crete in 1941.

George Thomas Edward Richards, watchmaker and jeweller of Wonthaggi, Vic, born 14Jan1914 at Cootamundra, NSW; served as VX3948 Lieutenant with 2/6 Infy Bn; captured at evacuation of Greece and sent from POW Camp Corinthia to be interned at Oflag V-B in Germany.
