LATE ROMAN AND EARLY BYZANTINE, 6th century A.D., lead eliptical shrapnel used in warfare as hurled by attackers in slingshot or catipult (appearance as sinkers as easily cast), one with cast raised lines around appearance of string. Fine - very fine and rare. (4)
